Terms of use

Last updated 21 October 2026

By using Hefz you agree to these simple terms.

A free learning aid

Hefz is free to use. It helps you memorize and revise the Quran, but it isn't a replacement for learning with a qualified teacher, especially for tajweed and correct recitation.

The Quran text and other content

The Quran text comes from Quran.com and Tanzil and is shown as published. Recitations, surah introductions and word meanings come from the sources named on each page, and belong to their owners.

If you ever spot a mistake in any text, please tell us right away.

Your account

Keep access to your email or Google account safe; it's how you sign in. Choose a respectful display name. We may change offensive names, and remove accounts that abuse the app or other users.

Fair use

Don't try to break, overload, or cheat the app (for example, to fake progress on the leaderboard), or use it to harm others.

No guarantees

We work to keep Hefz running and accurate, but it's provided as it is, without guarantees. Features can change, and the app may sometimes be unavailable. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses from using it.
